LDS girls, Do LDS Things, In LDS Ways... and this is exactly what makes an LDS girl, different from their peers. In a world, where most girls have no direction and no real reason for being "good" - LDS girls actually DO!
LDS girls who know who they are - make better choices. So, I suppose you could apply the saying that "knowledge is power"? But even more important than a general statement like that... is knowing that the knowledge you embrace, just happens to be - the TRUTH.
LDS girls operate, and therefore make choices - that are anchored in eternal truths. Do LDS girls make mistakes? You bet they do! But after they hit themselves upside the head a bit for doing so - they will most always learn from those mistakes.
How can a girl know what is right, if no one ever offers her truth - by which to compare and analyze her choices, actions and the results that are caused by her use of agency? LDS girls are blessed to have been offered by loving parents, leaders and living prophets today - the TRUTH.
I honor these LDS girls from their teen years, and up to the time where they make the most important decisions of a young women today. Education, relationships and ultimately marriage and family. LDS young women are making good choices, based on their very personal experiences of utilizing the truth that they know, against that which the world would have them believe.
LDS girls know how to "Stand For Something" in a world that is fast becoming extremely wayward and lost to moral values.
So yes... LDS Girls Do LDS Things in LDS Ways, because they KNOW!

A Temple Wedding For SHeDAISY's Kassidy Osborn
Kassidy Osborn is one really cool LDS Girl. That’s right, she and her two sisters Kristyn, and Kelsi make up the country music group known as SHeDAISY.Raised in Magna, Utah, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, they now live in Nashville, Tennessee and are working really hard on their new album to be released soon called, A Story to Tell.
You would think that would be the big news, but NO WAY!The big news is Kassidy got hitched, yep, you got it, she got married to her longtime boyfriend Derek Williamson. You will never guess where they tied the knot...give up?They were married in the LDSTemple in San Diego, California.
"For being one of the most important days of my life, it couldn't have been more perfect and beautiful!", says Kassidy.
Congratulations Derek and Kassidy!
SHeDAISY will be performing at the Stadium of Fire on the 4th of July in their home state of Utah.
Make sure to watch for their upcoming new album, A Story to Tell... it should be awesome!
And if you want to keep up on all the SHeDAISY news follow them on TWITTER!

Wow! I NEVER would have thought they were LDS. Especially from that un chaste, ooh la la, kiss me, sexy video????!!!!! Why wait to dress modestly after they own the garments-get some shoulder sleeves and cleavage coverage now! Sad...
Anonymous, Yep, Kassidy is LDS. Thankfully the job of judging her worthiness is left up to her priesthood leader and not to me. Many who are in the entertainment industry do "push the limits" when it comes to the standards that have been given to us by our Church leaders, and I have to agree with your observation, it is sad. Her choice to be sealed in the LDS Temple however, is one I can congratulate her on wholeheartedly.
As our levels of understanding increase by the added light and knowledge we are given, it is inevitable that our choices will eventually reflect that better understanding we have been given. Line upon line we strive to make correct choices and live up to the covenants we make. Being a celebrity, and in the spot light just makes that progression more public.
We are a couple of LDS women, who happen to think that LDS Girls totally ROCK! We're here to discuss the important stuff about being an LDS Girl in this crazy world today...
We are not "official" speaking people for the LDS Church -- but as LDS women, we have been around the block - so to speak - and we think that we have a pretty good understanding of whatLDS Girls must face each and everyday.
So - that is some of what we will talk about here on KooLDSgirlZ-- that which is relevant if you are a Mormon Girl, looking to find support, encouragement and resources that will help you in living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are a new and growing blog, so make sure and bookmark KooLDSgirlz for easy access. Come back and check-in often, to see what LDS Girls are doing - talking about - and dealing with right now -- that matters!
